Erroneous collections on your credit report?

I strongly advise checking your credit report anyway, but this article points out one really GREAT reason:

Medical Debts Could Kill Your Refinancing

According to this report:  “Some 14 million Americans have errors on their credit report because of medical collections ….”

If that’s correct, then almost 1 out of 20 Americans’ credit standing is being damaged by FALSE medical bills being reported as delinquent and/or turned over for collection!

There are a number of ways to check your credit report, but the three major credit reporting bureaus are required to provide one report each year at no charge.  For that purpose, they operate:  Take a few minutes to see what’s on your reports.
