Twice each year, Jeff Osborne, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Capital City conducts business meetings with all company agents and staff. Discussion is wide ranging and mostly forward-looking, but reporting on past performance versus our competition is always worth a couple of slides. I spend most of my blogging time on discussing market dynamics and commenting on industry-related news reports and specific local market conditions, but these competitive reports deserve some attention — not for myself, but for Jeff and the strongly supportive and productive business environment he has built in this incredible company. At the RE/MAX Of Texas state convention last week, he was recognized for these accomplishments by being named Broker/Owner Of The Year! (Applause!)
This is no trivial feat: RE/MAX has been recognized nationally for brokerage and agent productive (see Pride in RE/MAX … please forgive a little bragging from last summer), so Jeff’s award is truly a “best of the best” prize. He won’t even think of saying this for himself, so I’m proud to do it for him here.
First, here is a look at Austin-area RE/MAX brokerage offices:
RE/MAX Capital City (our Austin office, where I work) and RE/MAX Capital City II (in Cedar Park) both appear in the Top 5. What you don’t see is that RE/MAX Capital City III (Round Rock), just finishing it’s first full calendar year in business, was just 4 transactions behind #5 on that chart. RE/MAX accounts for individual offices individually, but if our three locations were combined, total production was more than 250% of the second-place office — a superb brokerage in their own right!
How does RE/MAX Capital City stack up against other Austin brokerage companies? Here’s one view:
That’s a respectable 4th place among our competition, but the next chart shows one of the reasons I am so proud to be part of this organization:
Our 62 agents averaged 60% higher productivity than the 2nd place performer in this ranking! That’s important because the more you practice any skill the better you get at it, the more variations and potential pitfalls you find, and the better you are at knowing or finding solutions.
Being at RE/MAX Capital City, I am surrounded by the best, most experienced, most productive real estate professionals in Austin – and yes, I make my own contribution to that average, but that’s not the point. It is just a real joy to be a part of this team.
