More expansion in Austin

Continuing on a theme from yesterday’s post, here are more articles from today’s Austin American-Statesman:

• More high tech expansion –
  • 1,000 eBay jobs proposed for Austin
• New investment in a local growth company –
  • Austin game tools company raises $6.1 million in venture capital

Of course, City Council still must vote on the requested incentives for eBay, and there is never a guarantee on the success of a start-up company (although this is a substantial 2^nd-round investment).  Nonetheless, each of these stories represents confidence in the economic and financial strength of Austin and our healthy supply of high-skill employees.
